Cendrillon Opera

Costume Maker - The Project Arts Centre, Dublin

This IADT collaboration with the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) was a production of Cendrillon, Pauline Viardot’s comic opera adaptation of the Cinderella story. Working to designs by Guia Mazapaz, I constructed two tailored jackets for Le Comte Barigoule and Le Prince Charmant.

My role focused on interpreting design drawings into fully realised stage costumes, using tailoring techniques to achieve period-inspired silhouettes and performance durability. The process involved pattern adaptation, fittings, and precise construction to support both characterisation and stage movement within an operatic context.
